Travelling to the most peaceful place in our gods own country the place where all the Malaya tradition of the tribes are preserved and followed. The land of mystic beauty "Wayanad" in Kerala. After post marriage of our everlasting love life, we were struggling to make life and work balance . We finally decided to do a getaway trip to the most beautiful place. Checked into our resort which was 100 per cent eco friendly and the most unexpected thing stuck me was the rooms didn't have air conditioning I was like oh my god how is this working out. So the staff who accompanied us his name was Raju he said as we are totally inside the jungle literally in between the forest we are naturally in a air conditioned stage so that's the reason why we are into eco friendly resort. Still I could not believe that then post our travelling tiredness we had our dinner slept off early to wake up early. Yes Mr.Raju point was perfect it was a perfect balance of room temperature neither to cold or hot se slept so peacefully gained all our energy and started our trek for the day 1. Day 1. We walked with the instructor whose name is Mr.Mathews who have been working with the team for more than 16 years who knows the whole forest detail by detail. The way he was explaining to us the life of the jungle was outstanding I felt like he was actually introducing us to his Family the love for his Jungle and the Fauna and flora is like how we are to our family. The most interesting part is there one tusker named Batman yes it's funny right that's what Mathews has named it .The beauty of the Dark The Batman ,yes he is loner elephant actually we should be afraid of him. But the point is Mathews and Batman had some unique chemistry between them they both are like siblings from different mother nature. The tribes who was living there told everyone are afraid of that elephant but only Mathews can handle him. I asked him how did you build up this relationship in this deep jungle all alone he said it's just like naturally happened and I didn't go for that still we talked silently and walked peacefully beautifully breathing the natural oxygen. We reached back our 2.5 hours trek went for bath and had breakfast. Now we had time to do our own things. But I was so admired by how Mathews life and the connection he have to the jungle I went to him he was having his tea then qe walked the resort and sharing all thoughts about life finally he said to me no one has ever treated mw like this like a friend o was like so happy and sad about the situation. Then he said he lost his wife few long years back when joined here he was very lost after her death used to go to the forest and feel like am talking ro her and she replies are like breeze or birds voice and he said she loved birds so much. Just like that one day he was walking saw one elephant mourning the death of his partner.I stood there like a ice freeze guy and the other elephant turned to me and looked into my eyes directly but he didn't move or chase me at the same time he just stood there face to face I had my tears coming from my days as I know how the pain of loosing someone is jus both of us shared same pain and we both left, the next day same point we met and this happened everyday and our new life started. I named him Batman in to the dark. It was like a surprising story for me and I our stay got our and personally said good bye to Mathews and gave him asked of fruits for our Batman too. Waiting for another getaway to see my friends again.
