Fascinated by the Divine Feminine, I travel far to meet and learn more about her in all her forms. India chose me and the mission was to connect with strong women that are in need of new homes to flee domestically violent relationships, ones that try to steal the gifts the divine feminine has to offer. Each morning we awoke to the sun, flow yoga and a meal to connect with ourselves and each other and then off we rode camels to fulfil our purpose in getting materials together to assist with building villas for women. I was partnered with an elderly women named Rocha, a resilient survivor who not only set herself free but, she carries the energy of Harriet Tubman as she puts her life on the line time after time to save the lives of women afraid to stand in their worth. She spoke to be about her experience and the experiences women had when they discovered they we're worthy to be praised. It was that moment i saw myself both in Rocha and in the women she longs to save. I took this as a sign because i was living double lives. I advocate women's wellness but in my shadows i cling to relations where i had to shout and fight for my worth to be hear and fall on deaf ears. It was like a veil had been lifted and i was forced to save myself by healing or be dragged. Rocha is an intuitive and she could feel my vibes. I was overwhelmed with shame and didn't know my next move but, what i did know was that i had to make changes in regards to my self love practices. Emotions flooded me and in my eyes were the tears i held in for years. I dropped to the floor and whelped until i was embraced with the arms of strong women who knew how hard it was to find and believe in your dreams and love. They fed me tea and sang songs to inspire my spirit to be strong and well. I am grateful for the experience and since then i have use my learning to inspire myself to love me apologetically and care for community. Because strong women motivated me to stay in love with me i too wish to give that offering. My trip to India has inspired me to create business plans geared to the evolving black women. It set the tone for the boundaries I keep and the love i give to equals. Its travelling into the unknown with the only intention being to grow that inspires me to live bold and in love with the experience life has to offer. I wish to inspire more people to heal shadows so they can love free without fear. India chose me and birthed me with that experience so deep i found my purpose, so i continue to shine my light advocating self love and community healing for all my sisters. Because in the essence of this trip to India the biggest lesson learned is that we cant do it by ourselves. Sisters need sisters and i will be my sisters keeper.
