I Bappi Mea, recently visited the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal for attending an international conference- “International Youth Policy Conference(IYPC)-2019” in Itahari Province, Sunsari, Nepal on 29-31 August, 2019. The conference was organized by the Youth Development Centre (YDC), Nepal. The aim of the conference was to discuss the global youth policy, common understanding of youth policies of different countries, its implementation and drawbacks with the representatives of 15 different countries and government as well as NGO stakeholders. The three days conference included speeches, parallel sessions, site-seeing, talk on SDGs, discussion on climate change, save amazon public campaign as well as cultural evening. I successfully demonstrated my active participation to all the activities of the conference through raising voice on different discussion issues, making fruitful communication with the foreign delegates, exploring Nepali cultures and doing adventure during site-seeing sessions. As a part of site-seeing, I visited along with other participants to the beautiful Namje village. It is situated at the elevation of 1,585 meters above sea level located in Bhedetar VDC of Dhankuta district of eastern Nepal. The village is ruled by indigenous Magar community. The village is featured by beautiful terraced fields, green hills, clouds and local Magar community’s distinct cultures. There I stayed one night with others in the cottage of a Magar family and enjoyed their rituals and foods. We also enjoyed tracking on the mountains. To be noted that, this village of Namje was placed among the 12 best undiscovered touristic places around the world by the observation of CNN in 2011. Overall, it was a nice experience and expedition for me to represent my country and my beloved university in such an international platform.
