A leap into the unknown South Africa

I suppose i should have known Anaconda lives here. Do you want to know more? of course you do! Who is Anaconda anyway? Meeting people at a wedding of your best friend's brother not knowing you will end up travelling with them on holiday two months later. Oh well! Two months to wonder about the place you going to travel to, wondering about the flight realizing you are afraid of heights, having to fly for your first time, knowing that you can't travel by bus knowing that it's a 2 day drive, on a bus, hurting your butt, wondering how you gonna sleep on a bus. Yes here we are, the day of January 10, 2020, arrived. I had a mood change, becoming all excited for my trip. Off i went on the bus all excited, having a night trip from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, driving with my fellow travelers to a small town for our little vacation. Little did i know i was traveling 3 provinces in one day. Here we are, we arrived. All excited for the green-ish place. The place called Port Shepstone, Kwazulu Natal. As we arrived, first thing first captured my attention, a beautifully formed blue-ish bowl with water in, i took my first swim, oh well it was a big swimming pool, something my heart adores, some place you will find met at 24/7 of my holiday. As our holiday was busy happening, i found myself walking on a blink sandy,most peaceful beach, watching the only things running around on the beach, craps, yes they were owning the beach, i never knew craps could run that fast, hiding from me as i get closer to them. Oh well, the sun baking my shoulders as i left that beach on a early morning, sunkissed and all toasted as a human. As the week went by day by day, i realized i'm on a holiday resort that looks like a forest, a green place that looks like a movie i remember i watched. Everything reminded me of this specific movie, a movie that got me afraid, thrilled, all looking around in the house because when is this thing gonna come for you. Well i struggled to sleep in this resort, because where is this thing, when is this thing coming out of the bushes, i mean this thing eat people alive, like the boats and rivers in the forest is all a sign of what happens in this movie. Well i fell asleep sometime at night, dreaming of this animals. As time passed i realized that, no girl, here ain't no Anaconda snakes here, they not gonna come for you, here is resort patroles here and they are watching out for Anaconda's "laughing". Well what surprised me unexpectedly was the loud sound at night, a lot of frogs, they were jumping on your wet clothes that hangs outside, they were jumping inside the house at all unexpected times. What frightened me the most was the geckos. These little buddies running around on the roof inside our rooms, not knowing that we will become buddies for a hole week. Then the heading home part, of course my first flight home, well i remember having all kinds of thoughts about this flight with me being afraid of heights. Well the day arrived and so i remained with a lot of mixed emotions of my first flight, and it had to be home to avoid the bus, i remember hearing the plane is about to rise, and i held on the arm of the seat, remember the guy next to me telling me to relax my body, i'm like no way how could you expect of me to relax while i'm afraid of heights. Here i am holding on the the arm of the seat, landing safely, asking myself: Hey girl what was that now? you didn't have to do this, realizing the flight wasn't bad at all. Here i am safe and sound after the best holiday i have ever had so far, God allowed my all expenses payed holiday to be fun and interesting. God bless you who reads this. Keep well!!
