I was twenty years old, I still remember the moment when I had my Visa, it was a tear with a laugh. I still remember the first time I travel by a plane to the place of dreams, there where you can imagine, dream, then see and achieve what you wish. It is the American Dream, United States of America. From the moment that plane landed, I started my vacation trip perfectly, beginning with Edsall Park-Alexandria- Washington, that place had a season which changed three times in only one month, ice, snow, then autumn, I've experienced the three seasons in three different walks. I remember the day that my uncle picked me up to Washington DC where he was going to work, I've visited 5 museums, walked until arriving at the Congress alone with my Maceatoo Starbucks. I've stayed in Washington for like two weeks, then I've been in Penn Salvanya for two days in our friends' house, Penn Salvanya is calm and cozy, things change rarely, but you can feel the familiarity in its houses. Then, the adventure has begun, where me and my mother were going from Penn Salvanya to Newyork in a weather of snow storm, where the bus stopped in Pheladelphia, they told us that it is impossible to move again before the evening because of the storm, so I crossed the street in the middle of the storm, in a city that we know nobody there, I resreved in a train station and we started our 7 hour journey, with a support from a girl, she was blonde, putting a nail polish, eating an apple and reading a book. I asked her if its the right way to Newyork, she said yes, then asked me "where you from?", I answered "From Syria", she replyed "Ah Tasharrfna" -which means nice to meet you- Sorry for the conflict, she said, then when we were about to arrive, she helped us with the luggage then she said "you made it, good for you" My brother was waiting for us, it was the Valentine's Day, 11:30 p.m, we walked and walked without feeling tired, we were extremely excited by this "city that never sleeps" with people who hold the boxes of chocolates, tiny bear, or a red rose, the Empire State was colored in Pink as commemorating the Valentine's Day, with a little bit of snow. Next day I walked on my own, asking people in streets about the place of Starbucks, place of selling the frozen yogurt, we went to the highest floor of Empire state to see the miracles of buildings covered with snow, the Status of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge. We were walking all the time, happy all the time, felt all moments that we've experienced. Even if I go back to Newyork I still remember the organized streets and avenues there, I can walk alone and deal with all people there, it was the first traveling experience which is never ever forgotten. It was the American Dream that really Captivates.
