A leap into the unknown Georgia

Traveling. is one of the things if it's not even The thing which can always restore peace and quiet into my mind, put a smile on my face and the thing that always challenges me to do more and be more. even though I haven't had much of that experience so far in my life, but, the two times in which I had the chance to try it was one of a kind. I have traveled two times in life so far; to Georgia and to Jordan and my delightful and adventurous story was in Georgia. for those who don't know where Georgia is, it's located in the caucus region were Russia in the north, Turkey in the south, overseeing the black sea from the west and finally Armenia and Azerbaijan in the east. I have just finished the second year in college and I felt it was the time to pursue that desire within me. Alone I was, applied for the visa and booked my plane ticket and in a week I was there. what I want to recite is the fun story that made my travel utterly joyful. I was staying in Batumi; a city that oversees the black see. and I was staying in a hostel where I met this Chinese girl name KIKI or that's what she called her self because she said that her Asian name so hard for people to pronounce . and that KIKI told me about a gathering in a forest not so nearby but is totally worth it. Since it was my first time traveling, I wanted to try out a lot of things and be adventurous as much as I can so when she told me about a gathering in the woods where I will meet hippies and rainbow gatherers camping the forest for three days, I was intrigued. and there I was with my pack on my back, no camping gear, no eating utensils no plan about so ever and I set my mind to do it the backpacker's way. So there I was on the main road with only a distant location for that gathering and trying to hitchhike and I kept asking myself what are the odds for someone to pick me up on his way, and after 10 cars that passed me while I was walking down that road, there it was, my ride with two wrestlers going to the capital for a match. I was thrilled that I managed to hitchhike and that the plan ( which wasn't there ) was going well. the two lads were generous as they offered me food and drink as we stopped along the road for some rest and we the dialects that we had were interesting, talking about nearly everything but then our nice encounter had to end as we came at the crossroads where I was supposed to drop by. I was back again on the road and the gathering was not yet close. and after some walk, a taxi stopped near me with two Iranian boys telling me this phrase: '' Rainbow gathering '', to which I smiled and replied saying yes, and then they told me: '' then hop in ''. we took the taxi for half an hour before the road ended and we had to go on on foot. back again on the road with no plan no cell phone reception but this time I had made friends so after wondering for an hour in the woods and following the instruction that KIKI gave me, we were finally there. colored rosaries were everywhere and a guy with no shirt wearing dozens of rosaries on his neck approaching to say hi and greet us and then he took us to where the camp was. everyone was smiling and everyone was friendly, they gave us food and water on the spot. I know it's stereotypical when I say this but there was a stoned guy that kept touching and rubbing a plant as if it was a pet which made me laugh so hard and when the night came and we were singing by the fire, I had a moment where I thought I was dreaming as the plan ( which didn't exist ) worked so well. so as you can see the best thing about this adventure wasn't the destination, it was the journey.
