My mother is a travel writer. This is her story.I am 60 years old and a widow for 20 years. I have never stepped out of my house without a male figure by my side but things changed in me when I heard my daughter's solo travel stories. How she tried alone all the way from California to Niagara falls in Canada made me think if she can do then why not me. I have always wanted to ride a bike. I knew how to ride it because my husband taught me long back but I never used it on my own. I took my son's Bullet Enfield decided to travel North of India. My main wish was to see the Golden Temple in Amritsar and take dip in the Gangs River in Benaras but the trip turned out to be liberating and memorable in many other small ways.
