I didn't expect to find Japan

For me, Japanese animations and tattoos are the best, in the UK tattoo artists who do Japanese style are great but compared to most Japanese artists portfolios i've seen, for me, hands down Japan wins. Via facebook i i messaged 5 of the top artists in Tokyo japan and 2 of them got back to me, i was pleased to find 1 of my top 3 favourite out of the bunch to reply so we spoke and he agreed to tattoo me. I didn't plan to see any sights i only reserved 6 nights at a hotel just outside of Tokyo, a beautiful, relaxing spa hotel with capsule bedrooms which where i spent most of my time, i used trains to go into Tokyo to meet the tattoo artist, it was approximately 40 mins journey. Around the hotel, i didn't go too far but it seemed like there was plenty to do, a lot of restaurants, stores, a city centre was about 10 mins walk, lots of arcades and access to public travels such as trains and buses. Arcades seems to be a big part of their culture, i witnessed elderly men and women playing video games on arcade machines which for me was interesting and cool to see elderly with vitality. I don't speak Japanese so there was a language barrier when asking for directions but google translator helped out lots. Tokyo is a busy place, well organised and surprisingly warm, i will be returning for more tattoos and spa retreats for sure.
