There’s a time when my life was completely mess up, everything didn’t go well the way I want it to be. And I felt something missing in my life. Ever since i was a little all i have wanted to do was travel. I love discovering new places and exploring them to the max. I love reading or watch every video or any other contents about traveling, especially the traveling blogs on the internet. I admire their talent, creativity and sense of adventure. All of these things really help me feel better during this though time. I remember back to one video which inspired by Drew Binksy (one of my favorite travel blogger) he once said “ Life always begins with one step outside of your comfort zone “. I started thinking about going on a solo- trip because I already know even if I have tried to convince my friends to go on this trip with me I would faced with the answer like ‘ it’s not the best time’ or ‘ I can’t afford it at the moment’. The idea of going on this solo-trip was scary but exciting at the same time. I kept putting it of for weeks until I finally came to the conclusion that If I don’t do it now, I never will. I wasn’t sure why I had such a strong urge to go, I soon found out why. The trip started with twice night and three days at Kompot province. And it was of to a rough start, most likely from me manifesting nervous energy. First I lost my bus ticket, got yelled at, found it, and then thought I lost my phone turn out I didn’t. Then when I get to the destination (kompot’s bus stop) I hailed for the taxi and here I go again, I had a weird experience with the creepy taxi driver. I was now thinking of ahead of every worse case scenario. After these little episodes, everything ended up falling in to place and going rather smoothly. I made the reservation for one single room with offered free breakfast service so I didn’t have to walked a thousand mile just to fill up my stomach in the morning. Guess what? The hotel also have the camping site for guest who love making an extra effort to get touch by nature, get surrounded by nature and looks greenery all around. What a peaceful moment l’ve ever had. I went out of the hotel and get to one of the most popular place was called River Park. This is a unique opportunity of me to try out zip-line I need a fun and safe environment. Experiencing of kayaking, walked up spiraling to the bamboo stairway to the zip-line platform at the top of tall tree, buying local handicrafts which were mostly made of sea shell and corals and try the best local food in town called ‘Teuk Mahek’. The scenery is beautiful and very local. There are roughly twenty handmade huts for you to sit in situated right next to a local village and a beautiful lotus pond. Each hut has a hammock or two for after meal naps and relaxation. It felt great to be in charge of everything I did from the time I set my alarm in the morning to what I wanted to eat or which monument to visit. This sense of freedom was of the best thing about traveling alone. In addition, even though I appreciate my solitude moments, I would be lying if I said I never felt lonely. To be completely honest, I even had a little meltdown at the end of the first day. I blame my tired feet and getting into my tiny tent, realizing I was actually alone. Anyway, this is the first and happiest moment of my entire pathetic existence. I do now understand what a ‘rich and unforgettable experience’ is. Because, for the first time I had a Rich Unforgettable Experience.
