11 months later I can't agree more with the sentence I once read: "Liepaja is love. Where friends meet and infinity starts". "Liels paldies, Latvija": - for having the clouds so close to the floor I almost could touch them; - for making me cross a forest before I could reach the beach; - for all the cats and crows in front of the door of my house; - for the Jurmalas Park that, sadly, I cannot take with me to Portugal; - for the pelmeni, the kartupeļu pankūkas and the užavas alus; - for all the kisses, hugs and love your kids gave me and I gave to your kids; - for giving me the opportunity to meet the teenagers I will always remember as "my favorite youngsters, my talented friends, my Karosta Kids"; - for the good music in Rock Cafe, the afternoons in Darbnica writing posts like this one, the concerts in Kursas Putni and all the beautiful memories in Fontaine; - for giving me the opportunity to realize that “happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another country”; - for being more than just a place. For being home. For being "mana mājas" during these last months. And "how lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard". And now it is time to click my heels three times, like Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz", and repeat the magic words that will bring me back: Liepaja is love but "there's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home." Ļoti patīkami, Tânia
