Making a connection..., or not!

Making a local connection USA

When I was in high school I started feeling deep connection towards USA. It was and still is so strong that I felt like I was born in some city there and then my parents adopted me in Europe. That’s not true, of course, but I feel somewhere “there” is my true home. When at the end of 2019 I realized I was travelling to Miami – my dream to actually visit this country I’m so drawn to, was coming true. And so, in April 2020, I packed just one suitcase and flew to Miami. I wanted everything to be amazing, so I spent more money on plain tickets and got a business class ticket with lie flat bed. Yes! A wise decision since the flight from Bulgaria, where I live, to Miami is over 17 hours long. The flight was really easy and pleasing and I almost didn’t feel exhausted. However, when I stepped out of the plain, it bothered me a little that the land in USA is not paved with gold and there are no singing birds and colorful butterflies and no smell of lively nature. It’s that exaggerated I imagine it to be on my first breath of the American air. I was still at the airport though... (: I decided to spent more money on good hotel as well – there are a lot of which you can choose from, but hey, why not being picked up with Tesla from the airport to the hotel? First class experience! So far, everything was as I dreamt it to be. Now, I only had to experience something powerful, the purpose of this trip, the essence. And this happened on my third day in Miami. I attended the seminar of one of the most famous people in the world of Law of attraction – Abraham Hicks. In fact, her videos bought me to the States, her persona, her words…I doubt there are many people in the world that don’t know who she is or what she does. But if you are one of them and you read this, then I’m happy for you, because it means it’s time for you to learn things you never expect existed. As for Miami, I went to some famous places, tasted some great and not so great food and met annoying, interesting and funny people. I met difference and variety. Loud companies, peaceful walks on the beach. Joyful entertainers, morning ocean breeze. I met the ocean! There is quite a lot you can do, see and feel in Miami and 6-7 days are just not enough, especially if you’re coming from a completely different culture. My time in Miami was short as a moment, but enough to make me come back USA again, to explore this country and the colorful bouquet of people that live there. And I will. On the plain to Bulgaria I thought about my trip. I thought that I will feel this instant knowing that I’m finally home when I first step on American land; then I thought I will feel it when I experience people, culture and live, but I didn’t. My home is not in Miami. But there are so many other cities to visit in US, right? I will keep searching for "my place", or is it a place?
