World is a bright kaleidoscope of vivid colors and bright emotions which I am always seeking for with my eyes open. Being a reckless adventurer and passionate memories creator, I am absolutely convinced that there is only one factor that is truly essential in all our travels: it is always about people who we meet throughout the trip, who make a travel the real (Your) story, often change our worldview and sometimes all the entire life. That happened to me..and not once) So, Italy..it is impossible not to fall in love with this magic, tremendous, absolutely multi-faceted culture and its people. Italians taught me to admire beautiful tiny things and appreciate every single moment, to smile sincerely and be grateful, to enjoy the tastes and smells, to value art and ancient history, to love deeply and live every day as the last. I was lucky to visit various Italian regions and taste its linguistic and cultural diversity, but one island stole my heart forever...Sicily is the Paradise on The Earth, volcanic mediterranean flow which makes you slightly drunk and gives powerful energetic push and motivation, It is the place where both the body and the soul renovates: my personal Indonesia from "Eat.Pray.Love". But..not only the mixture of Greek and Byzantine architecture, generous sun and breathtaking sceneries made my heart beat faster..Sicilians themselves enchanted and astonished me. They make Sicily like it is. Sicilian spirit is not just made-up story from "Godfather" movie, it is special, absolutely unique island atmosphere. All my travels are driven by the same moto: "In Rome do like Romans do", otherwise live like a local. That is why I always visit local markets where local spirit is running high..Thus, immagine: early morning, noisy Sicilian market with fresh colorful food, street barkers and me, completely lost in all that crazy splendor. In that particular moment, like from the best scenes of Hollywood movies, a Sicilian handsome gray-haired mountie noticed my confusion, left his horse aside and asked: "Could I help you, signorina?". (Thank's God I speak Italian pretty well, otherwise, I could never have lived all that emotional scale). That very day, Sicilian wise man in his mid-seventies helped us to choose the best Sicilian specialties, true gastronomic orgasm by the way, taught me to drive a moto, took me and my friends to the secret truly heaven bay and organized for us a workshop in home-made pasta cooking. The same evening our "carabiniere" invited us to a Sicilian traditional celebration with abundant dinner (if you have never tried it, just go for it, but be ready that Sicilians will never let you go until you taste everything:)), heart-warming songs and vigorous Tarantella dances. I can not but mention that the other day, our charming friend organized the best romantic date ever for my mum, but it is quite a different story:) That is the only example of amazing Mediterranean hospitality and life-concept which is so close to my heart, something that I am constantly learning: to enjoy and just live the moment, open the heart and accept challenges. Sicily is the soul: deep and versatile, outgoing and open, cheerful and dynamic, laidback and flirty, beautiful both outside and inside and extremely hot... It is crazy, changeable and spontaneous. My Sicily is bright and a little mad. It is different and barely sweet, but it is definitely mine. P.S The first Italian who I've met in Spain, is a Sicilian as well, he broke my heart at first and throughout the years became my best friend. At the beginning of our story, I promised him that one day I would speak Italian better than he did..you know, that time I could not even imagine: in a couple of years the Italian language would become my beloved career and life-passion..And do you believe in the Signs from the Universe?)
