I'm a amateur in writing a story to be honest being a Photographer it's my first experience where i went into the wild nature, its first time I'm writing something more than 200 words, Hence i apologize if anything goes wrong. So story is about my first official trip in to the wildlife in proper jungle in Western ghat of India that is Amboli, Sindhudurga. It was 1st July 2017 & in Night We started our journey from Mumbai thats where i stay i had no idea it is gonna be life changing experience for me at first place. We went to amboli by the bus as it was planned that way first day of travel was very hectic as I never did such long journey in the bus till now it was 9-10Hrs of journey from Mumbai to Sindhudurga by bus from there we have to get local transport till amboli as its littlest village based in middle of wild jungle. We reached at Amboli had our breakfast and went straight to the jungle for herping for frogs, Snakes Besically for arthropods species found in Western ghat I still remember it was raining heavily that day as it was my first trip in this kind of environment i wasn't ready for such conditions i somehow managed to make a cover for my camera out from a plastic bag nd we went in it was pure nature once we entered in jungle. as we all grow up in city nd polluted environment this experience was completely new for me at that time cool breeze was there litrally so quite that u could able to hear the drops clashing on soil or leaves or on surface of path as it was completely wet our feets were not making any sound while walking. Finally I spotted a green plastic pipe looking thing moving away from the tree branch heading towards deep portion of jungle I called 2 of our team mates & then i came to know I found a Snake that was Vine snake I have never ever in my life time seen snake that close everyone rushed to click the image of that snake I was standing back looking at it because i was kind of afraid and excited at the same time in that confused mindset i decided to go ahead nd click some images when everyone done i went ahead and drastically that snake started moving towards me i went back quickly as the movement of the snake also stopped i leaned down slowly towards him click one image without realising I didn't setup the camera settings when i clicked and saw review of it i realised i messed up i decided to go on eye level of him nd then setup the settings i slowly went down slept completely in the dirt snake started looking directly into my lens till he was looking at it i clicked some of his images till then all my team mates went ahead for other sightings i was there for 5-6 Min i could not explain it better how beautiful that creature was nd my heart was racing pretty fast but somehow i was able keep myself calm in that situation from that moment till now I'm very much attached to the arthropods species yes i got some of the memorial bites by the snakes but the experience was worth taking the risk, it was my first and yet last experiance that i could talk about for hours i came across many species of snakes in that trip many geckos nd other arthropods but what it is to be nd live in nature is what i learnt in that first trip yes im not able to express it more in words or write that what it feels to see in eye of most dangerous species known by the world. Till that trip i was afraid of snakes but some hoe it tought me that snake behaviour is nothing but like a human behaviour you mess with them they will tear you apart but if you understand them give them their space they will allow you to see word from their view.
