Mesmerising Rajasthan

Making a local connection India

The summarization of my topic can be done in a single sentence, my first solo trip to Rajasthan with mixed feelings of excitement and nervousness. I started my journey to Jaisalmer and I was staying at an Airbnb property inside the Jaisalmer fort and I was so obliged to see that people at this place were so welcoming, kind and helpful. Being a girl and travelling alone didn't bother me even for a minute. I spoke to local people still living inside the fort and got to know their daily routine. Next day I was travelling to Sam sand dunes and my driver took me to these amazing places nearby, Kuldhara and Bada Bagh Chhatris. On the same day, I met some children playing near my hotel and I joined them and played for an hour, in that span I got to know about them, their school and their hobbies. I am confident that if I return and meet these people they will surely recognise me and will be more than happy to receive me again.
