I didn't expect to find Canada

I went to Prince Edward Island in the summer of 2010, when I was 18. I didn't have any idea how special that trip was at the time or that it would come to represent such a unique season in my life; back then, I was just excited to be going somewhere new. My mom and my dog Jenny were my traveling companions, and my mom's Honda Civic was our mode of transportation. Our journey commenced in our native Ontario and our destination was a wedding in Georgetown, PEI. A lot happened on that trip and every moment was truly special. Revisiting my memories of that time, I feel more than a twinge of nostalgia. I didn't expect to find a perfect snapshot of my young life as I sifted through my memories and photos, but here it is: a moment frozen in time, a moment where I'm 18 with my whole life ahead of me, a moment where Jenny is still alive and full of life, a moment where my mom and I are bonding over Celtic music and beautiful scenery. I want more moments like this.
