Traveling to Morocco is an experience in itself. It is intense. It’s full of colors and aroma. It’s fascinating! I immersed in the French Marroquin dishes, drank myself in mint tea, hiked, and absorbed the sights and vibe of Morocco. From the high Atlas Mountains to the desert to the coasts, Morocco is an amazing country that hits all traveller’s tastes. You may love it or hate it but you ´ll walk away from ,a fulfilled traveller because you went. Whether you are backpacking through Morocco, visiting on a guided tour, or on your own, Morocco will definitely leave a lasting impression. Top 5 things to See in Morocco 1. Explore the town of Marrakesh Spend some time wandering around ithe Djemaa el-Fna,where you can find exotic street entertainers, musicians, and artists. After that, you go to medina, explore the souks, eat in the market, see the old city, and enjoy Morocco’s most international city. 2 Sahara 🌵 Desert The Sahara is exactly how you would imagine-vast, empty,and absolutely impressive.You can sleep the night in a simple tent in the dunes.This was my favorite part of the trip while in the country and I highly recommend it.The stars are endless and shine so bright. 3. Explore the blue village Chefchaouen Chefchaouen is located in the middle of the Rif Mountains. It is tranquil, offers cost- effective stay, and is absolutely stunning.The streets and houses are all in sky blue and the mountains on the back set the dramatic tone. It’s a fantastic place to do some shopping, observe the market people, the clothing and sip the tasty tea. 4. Fez This archaic and picturesque city is worth a visit. You can easily lost in time wandering around the narrow streets filled with people, spices, shops and mosques. Fez might be a challenge to find your bearings but once you get used to it’s pace, you submit to its mystique. 5. Hammam to relax Visit a traditional North African steam bath usually found near mosques for an ultimate relaxation experience. Other things to See and Do in Morocco 1. Medina Wandering Labyrinths The medinas are a paradise for people who love traditional architecture, the markets, craft shops and navigation. 2. High Atlas Hiking The Mountains stretch from West of Morocco all the way to Tynisia. If you love hiking this is the place to be as you can hike all year round. 3. The Hassan II Mosque Landmark An architectural masterpiece with stunning mosaics, plaster moldings, marble and wood ceilings . 4. Magical Tangiers Tangiers is located on the North African coast at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. The history of Tangiers is very rich, due to the fact that many civilizations and cultures lived there. Almost 100 years ago, Tangiers was considered as having international status by foreign colonial powers and became a destination for many European and American diplomats, businessmen, writers, and spies. Today it’s a hip must-see city. 5. Kasbah les Oudaias Located in Rabat, this Kasbah is found in the oldest part of the city. It’s tranquil, picturesque with its narrow streets of white houses, and a great place to wander around. Its elevation offers beautiful views of the river and ocean. 6. Surf the wave Morocco is extremely popular for surfing. The best time to go is during the winter months when the waves are bigger and the air and water temperature is mild. Head to Taghazoute, the most popular surf town, to catch some waves and browse the surf shops. 7. Stroll the Meknes Medina This authentic market sells handicrafts made in Meknes such as the hand embroidery and Meknes “Damascene” ironwork. If the Medinas of Fez and Marrakesh overwhelm you, this is the place to go. 8. Head to Essaouira Essaouira is located a few hours from Marrakesh on the Atlantic coast and is a popular beach destination for tourists. I loved the laid back atmosphere of the city, the sea gulls, and all the fresh fish. Be sure to visit the wonderful fish market in town, where all the small fishermen sell their day’s catch.
