Mountains are calling me.

A leap into the unknown Nepal

It was the common day for me college , office and home.I was fed up of same repeated routine again and again. My mind and my heart was trying to get rid of that schedule but the question was how.I knew from deep of my soul something is calling me.Yes it was nature , mountains ,hills ,waterfalls , forests call. Then my heart pumped up so fast imagining the scenario and the surroundings how it would be. And I finally decide to take break from my as usual life.First thing I did was asked permission ,payment with my workplace and then with my college and parents finally. It was hard to convince every sector but I had already made my mind.I called up some of my cousins to join on the tour and indeed I was lucky because I found cousins from Sikkim ,India joining the bike tour. They were travelling from Sikkim,India to Gosainkunda,Nepal. Finally , I was ready to set free myself from suffocated life.As soon as they reached Kathmandu,Nepal then we ride to the base of Gosainkunda trail ,Dhunche. As we started our journey ,the expectations were high about the mountains , trails and treks , off-road and road biking.Wooh we we're thrilled with goosebumps along with our imagination. The roads were not so easy as we took old road to Nuwakot which was slippery , steef and hard to ride but though we keep on moving with the hope "Difficult Road Leads to Beautiful Destinations".Despite of obstacles we reached the place called Dhunche nearly after 8-9 hours of ride which was full of adventure and it was one of a hell ride because of the road struggle & structure. We sensed the nearness to close between life and death but we were fortunate due to our biking skills and controls. As we entered Dhunche there was a checkpoint on Langtang Wildlife National Park heavily secured with Armed Forces. The problem was that we reached at 10:30 pm but the gate was closed on 10:00pm.It was due to congestion of narrow road and the jams caused by heavy trucks on the off road otherwise we would reach there on time.We didn't have any other choice rather than entering inside that small City through checkpoint. Reversing back was bad idea as there weren't any houses or human habitant for miles and miles away and with only one option left we convinced the Army officer to let us pass through as we travelled from far distance. After trying for long time we were successful and they let us in and we headed toward the nearest motel. The very next day we had to keep our journey continuing through trekking trails and it was for 3 continuous days So, we kept our Motorbikes at Motel and began our trekking .Nepal is full of natural resources such as rivers, waterfalls, forests ,wildlifes , culture & traditions. The trail started with crossing the river and climbing through the old stone staircases towards the hills and mountains following the trail of Gosainkunda. At the first day of our trek we were very exhausted and it was rare to find the houses near by stations. It took nearly 4-5 hours to reach one human habitat or small village. So after continuing for 14-15 hours we decided to stop somewhere on the way wherever we will find the next station. But the question was how far was it? And it was late night already around 10 on.We were passing through dark forest with the chanting and snooring of wild animals nearby .We knew it would be very hard for us if we didn't find any homestay immediately. We were surrounded by fear as 3 of us were the only trekkers on the dark forest surrounded by nature perhaps wild animals who knows what kind of creature exist inside the dark forest. After a long struggle we found a homestay and it was a moment of relief for us.The very first thing we did was ordering any food as we were starving.I forgot to mention that we lost our food package on the way which consisted of energy drinks, chocolates and diets which was supposed to give us energy while trekking. We were damn hungry and we are like hungry since childhood.Despite of all these struggles the day after this we reached the final destination Gosainkunda surrounded by mountains and frozen ice lake.I heard the myth about it and when I witnessed with my eyes I couldn't believe the magnificent beauty of that place.
