Road trip to Munnar hills was not just to explore the famous Kerala hill station but also a search for the neelakurinji flower which blossoms only once in 12 years. This enthusiasm to see the rare plant species along the hillside and to witness the captivating beauty of munnar made my trip the perfect plan. The final outcome was an everlasting amazement of natural beauty that took my breathe away when I accidentally explored the smallest national park of Kerala - Pampadum shola national park. I couldn't describe in words the feeling refreshment and happiness it still triggers when beautiful images of it flashes through my mind. Accompanied with cold wind, forest, river, music of some.unknown birds it was a trip to remember. The village known as vattavada which was around,20km from the national park was a beauty to watch with its layered way of farming crops and the sweet people all around. I had some fresh strawberries and passion fruit witnessing the mountains and faster clouds passing by all around my head. On my way back I recollected that I couldn't see the flower for which I came for but I have seen one of the best place and experienced the real nature. On my way back I found few elephants with a baby one infront paying visit to matuppety dam reservoir forest. With a hot chai and some snacks I got back to Munnar hillstation where I was welcomed by chilly rain. I stayed that night in Munnar with best memories I had and that paid off my weekend with the passion to travel around and explore such beautiful places in earth before I die..
