My first day in city

A leap into the unknown Kenya

Its was bright monday morning,indeed the morning was not normall one for me because my awaited dream finally came to true,that is "Moving to city". I was born and grew up in country side where i studed my elementry school and enjoyed my life with my friends playing with muds and soil with a čontent hearts.After long day in school ,i came running back home ,finding my mum sitting with my uncle under our favourate tree where we normally sat as family wether there special metting or not.The gesture of my face was blooming with happiness upon seeing my uncle at home.After greating and having meal together as family ,suddenlly my uncle asked me when i will be doing final exam in primary level of which he knew i will be doing the end of year but wanted to confrime the exact month, i was shocked upon him asking me that question and tell him when i will be finishing.After i moment i asked him with low tone"why did u asked ",then he answered if u do well in your finals i will take you to the city with me,I coulđnt bélieve my eyes and with loud voice said "WHAT",and he said you heard me right.The night was long and couldnt wait to reach beautiful morning with shining sun with new hooe that enriched my heart. Reaching school gate was far for me despite short distance shared between home and school.I run to the class and shôuted to my loudest voice and told my classmate about moving to city when i finish thats if i do well in exam,they were all shocked would not blieve me in a bit. From that day , i was determined to work hard and do what it takes to pass .indeed time flies and our exam came around the corner and everyone was scared because its finall one which determine our high school life.My case was different i was happy as well nervous .Eventually our exam time arrived and gathered courage and did our best and leave the rest to the God.One fine day the exam result got realesed and the whole nation waiting to know those who performed well,the same case with my family eargly waiting mine and i was nervous and scared of letting my uncle hooe down and my selfs as well. With grace of God ,hard work ,persistance and determination i performed well .My family were happy with me and wished me well of which i was greatfull for their support and endlesa love the got for me. As uncle kept his promise he came back to take me with him in the city ,i was happy and sad as well because i was leaving behind my parents and my friends behind and going new place, with new people.The day arrived of leaving to the city with my uncle ,we left with bus and i sat window sit to watch outside road and houses and tress,i kept asking my uncles a lot questions of everything that i saw in the way and calmly answered me .After the long journey we reached to the bright city around seven p.m.everywhere there was light and city shinning like stars scattered the sky , with curiousty i asked my uncle why light everywhere ,he told thats how this place is.Eventually we reached his home ,to my surprise there ïs stairs to clim for one to get inside house,of which my situation was totolly different because i have never seen stairs in my life leave alone climbing them.I litterary caried and wished to get feathers to fly back to my village where i was happy with no straggle of climbing stairs to get to my house. My uncle tried his best to conveince me to go with him in stairs to get home,with alit difficulty my uncle grabbed me in his shoulder and took me in.To be frank i dont remember after how long i get down from that house,that when i realised what i left behind' you will never know the value of something unless you loss it'. As human is all about adopting from one environment to another,i finally join the best school in city.
