Making a local connection Nigeria

I like listening and communcating with people because it enables me to learn from them, other cultures, backgrounds and experiences. I always try to be respectful when dealing with people by sharing ideas and learning new things. For instance, I was selected as a delegate to the YALI Abuja organised Accountability and Transparency Summit which was held in Abuja from 4th -6th September, 2018. I met people from diverse ethnic groups in Nigeria. I accommodated their individual differences through collaboration and networking. I saw everyone I came across as a new opportunity to learn and meet new people and I taught some of them how to produce our local dishes. I learnt that relating constructively with others will widen my knowledge and make me a better person in the society. It also helped me in building strong partnerships and achieving desired goals more easily.
