My journey to the land of Butterflies

A leap into the unknown India

It was the day when I went to the land full of butterflies. It was a place situated nearby Basistha mandir, Guwahati, Assam, India. Me with a group of adventure camp society name traventure buddy went there for trekking. The serenity that caught my mind, touch my soul and just passed by through the forest lane. As I walked miles and miles away from the city streets, I recognised those crisp sounds of dead dry leaves under my feet. The colourful butterflies were roaming up above my head, it makes me feel so blessed the way serenity touched my heart. The journey was about 22 kilometres away from Guwahati city. I walked through the small paths of the forest mesmerising the mother nature around me. I started recognising different types of birds that I've never seen before in the city streets or city skies. It was a never ending beauty in it. The beautiful mountains were covered with green grasses and trees where I was able to see the colourful insects in the middle of the grasses. Our trekking guide has given us many adventurous activities to do like: kayaking, monkey crawling and mountaineering. It was a brand new experience for me as I've never done all this before. We started camping at 5:30pm in the evening night of 19th December 2017. The camp fire was really very amazing as many people started singing and dancing infront of the camp fire. I took my guitar with me and sang couple of songs and everyone cheer me up with their claps. At the middle of the night, the nature took a different scenario which was flawless. The sky looks really beautiful with the twinkling stars on it and the crescent moon made the nature shine like a diamond. It was the best experience till date. In the very next day, we pack our bags and came back again to the city walking 22kms from the forest mesmerizing the mother nature.
