"Muuuum", i called for the last time when she knows for sure am late for my trip.Had it been i know my way around Oyo state i would have gone alone but i have no choice than to wait for her. Have been longing to visit Oyo state for the past two years but due to some setbacks i had to wait and now am here going for that adventure. Finally,she's out.Mum can never change with her mode of dressing,always putting on clothes that matches her shoes and head gear,how i wish i can tell her to go back and change her cloth but "hell no" she's gonna spend another 2hrs in that room and i don't want that to happen. We got into the car and off we go.The excitement inside of me is like that of a river flowing freely on it's own because i was so happy.I watched as my mum drive along Ibadan express way,i keep wondering who is going for an adventure,me or my mum,because of the way she package herself and i was like"mum,do u know that am d only one going for the adventure o not me and you" she said yes of course,why asking? I said nothing.We got to challenge road and we started swifting left and right due to the road bumps. I took out my phone,plug in my earpiece nd started listening to "I know who i am "by Sinach.Within few minutes,i slept off. The sound of people's voice woke me up,i can't imagine we've gotten to our destination.So i slept for almost 3hrs,that's so bad of you i said to myself.I came down from the car and greeted the people mum was greeting even if i don't know them,but am going to ask about them from mum later nd we went inside,mum was laughing and gisting with the women,talking about the old days,so i guess that must be mum's old friend's or probably family friends,i don't know for sure yet.Mum told the women the reason why we came and one of the women faced me and said "Oyo is a nice place to come o,infact you will see what u didn't expect to see,you will marvel at so many things here in Oyo State. I was happy within myself. I took out my small bag which contains snacks,camera,water,book and pen and i bade my mum goodbye. The first place i went to was Mapo Hall,i must say it's a waow sight to behold,Mapo Hall is the colonial style city Hall perched on top of Mapo Hill.Seriously,i didn't expect to see such a beautiful place in Oyo state,I was expecting this Mapo Hall should be in nicer city or place like V.I,Lekki etc.Interesting part of it is that it was commissioned during the colonial era by Captain Ross in 1929 and designed by Engineer Robert Jones.I brought out my camera,took some pictures of the surroundings and the hall. It was a great place to be. I also visited the Bower's Tower,it was built in 1930,what a year!. It is said that from the top of the tower,one can see all of Ibadan,can you imagine! It is the highest Hilltop in Ibadan giving a panoramic view of the city and guess what?It is the perfect spot for that sweet selfie! Waow,i didn't expect to find all of these things here,I was expecting to find a more local thing or area,but guess what this place looks like London. Oyo state is known as the first Skyscraper in Africa (cocoa house).It also has one of the only two suspended lakes in the world.What a state to behold! This time around i brought out my phone,took some nice pictures and upload it on my facebook page immediately. How time flies!it's 6pm already,i had to go back to where mum is,so i board a bus and told him my destination,within 30 mins i was at my destination.Got inside and still meet my mum and the women discussing and laughing so hard.I was surprised to still see them gisting.I greeted them and they ask me how was it,i said "I didn't expect to find all what i saw back there".My mum smiled likewise the women too.
