I always wondered that life can not surprise me to an extent that I will b flabbergasted upon the existence of such scenic beauty that the country which I’m a native of showed me ...yes India -one of the most beautiful place on earth I recently made a trip to the north eastern region of the country and as I live in Delhi it took me a train journey of almost 12 hours to reach there. As a traveler I always prefer train journeys over flights as train journeys helps you witness the beauty and landscapes across the whole journey . I reached there by 2pm and i stood overwhelmed by the mountains standing on the front the station, the main mvp of north eastern states is the geographical mountains that it has and various animals that are native to only north eastern places like Assam, Shillong etc . As my journey started at Gangtok I started my trekking session at 5pm and finally after getting tired, made a tent and I was just lying there and I was literally able to see the Milky Way in the night sky as it’s very rare to spot a star too in Delhi due to metropolitan buildings and pollution , Gangtok gave me a chance to witness nature and spend some time in an environment which is not hazardous. The next day when I woke up , I met with some local ethnic groups there and they made me try their local cuisine and an ant chutney which I never thought I will be able to eat but it was delicious. One of the tribe member brought a guitar as it was campfire and as I’m a musician, I started playing guitar and they began to sing their ethnic songs which was so divine . The whole experience was worth a shot and the next day my trip finally made a move and I reached out next destination which was Assam, I met a group of locals musicians there as I like to meet different musicians and work with them and I was finding some people to join me for my music project .Assam is more urbanized as compared to Gangtok but a very nice place to shop as Assam has some great market. My stay in Assam was very short and just a day after I left for Itanagar, capital of Arunachal Pradesh and the easternmost state of India. Itanagar was a surprise package for me as this place has a real positive vibe and a very quiet surrounding with different types of native birds and various mountain ranges. After 2 days of camping there and finally getting 5 musicians signed for my project from three different states I left for Delhi but it’s not only musicians that I’m taking from here but also the serenity, calmness, truthfulness and a new energy with me and I’m always obliged to this trip for giving me an experience which I didn’t wanted to ever end.
