A leap into the unknown Thailand

I travel mostly to experience local life and specially look for connection of heart to heart. My this trip to Thailand left me with big astonishment. Yes I went to enjoy the lush green sea and white sand beaches. simultaneously I went beyond these touristic temples to discover the authentic temples and monks. But as monks are reserved I didn't dare speaking to them ; especially being a women. When I left Thailand back to India(as I now live in India); I concluded that it was a wonderful country with Beautiful beaches, hub for shopping and Beautiful tailed temples with dedicated monks praying with love, peace and happiness within. After living in India for so long...Thailand appeared so rich and clean. When reached back to India; I opened the book that we bought at the Bangkok airport on arrival in Thailand;that left me astonished. Despite of so called my great discovery of the land...i left with a despair of not knowing more. I regret of not speaking with these monks. There was so much beyond what we just see with these two eyes. I realised what is the role of interaction with the locals for the discovery of a nation, a depth of a culture and the tears behind those smiley face of the monks! I need to visit again!
