When I was in China my friend, Petro wanted to invite Mike and me to climb the mountain near Harbin. Its name is Mao`erShan. I accept it. In that time climbing was totally unknown for me Finally we arrived to a village at 2 pm, were tired a little bit and didn’t know where the mountain actually is. Fortunately my friend and I could spoke Chinese and we asked taxi drivers. One of the drivers agreed to lift us to the gate of Mao`erShan mountain . When we were sitting in his car , the driver asked whether we would stay in that village for night , he knew an adorable hotel there. But we rejected his propositions. In 20 minutes we eventually got to a place. The driver went out of his car , said something to a woman who was nearby. After he said that we should go to that woman. She said to us to follow her. In that moment I thought something was going wrong. We followed her and she was opening a door , eventually she was the administrator of that village hotel. I went back to find our driver, but he went away. My mates and I were shocked because we didn`t know how to go to the mountain and where we could find other driver . Later Petro found our mountain in Chinese map. We followed the map. In 30 minutes we came to the enter gate of the mountain , bought tickets and food ( we didn’t eat for 6 hours). Then started to go up and in the same time ate vegetables rolls( this kind of food I only saw in that village). I realized that all Chinese tourists went down because It was already 5 pm, we only went up. The surface of that mountain had forest and it was getting darker faster than in the village. We didn’t care this fact , so continued our climbing. We went on to climb but there was a Chinese guard who said if we wanted to go to the top of Maoershan we ought to buy separate ticket for the same price as for an enter ticket. We were upset but bought those tickets. We could see the whole valley and sunset from the summit of Mao`erShan. After we started to go down , we were split up , Petro and I were going faster than Mike , and the stairs were so narrow ( couldn`t stand 3 people on the same stair. ) After 10 minutes we couldn`t see where our friend was. It was much darker than an hour ago. I called him. Mike said “I don`t know where I am. There are no people on the road, I got lost”. In that moment we had no idea where Mike found a new road because we saw only one stair road . We advise him to go down by that road. When we reach the exit gate we called Mike. He said he saw a forest , a road and 2 half-destroyed houses . We told him to run toward the road and sent to us his map location. We found a taxi driver. We gave Mike`s geolocation to a driver and were going to the spot. Mike called us and said he was scared because there were no humans and could be wild animals . But we really tried our best to find him as soon as possible. We reached the location but there wasn`t Mike. Suddenly Mike called us and a Chinese man said he wanted to talk to our driver. We gave the phone to him and our driver understood where Mike is. Finally 5 minutes later we found Mike who was standing with that Chinese man who helped our driver. Later Mike said he didn`t know how that Chinese man found him and what he did in that rural area near the forest. It was like a mystery man. He suddenly appeared and came to Mike and ask him what he did here , where your friends were and eventually called us and help our driver to find out the way. Thanks all people who helped us to find our friend. I didn`t expect this trip could be so dangerous and unexpected for us.
