I am in Netherlands from the last 2 months and will be leaving soon. When I told my friends that I am going to Netherlands, the first reaction was, you will have a good time there as marijauna and sex are legal. But when I started exploring about the country its more than'Sex and Marijauna'. People here are very healty and fit as they walk more or use bicycle. There are more bicycles than people here. They use bicycle even in temperature around 1°c -2°c and they push hard against the wind that blows all round the year.As the result of their this culture there is very less pollutiom here. Also the people here are not workoholic and are not running behind money. They keep a perfect balance between work and Life. Although most of the cities here are less crowded and quite, Amsterdam is an exception and thats why it is more popular around the world than any other city. I am from India and i found amsterdam more like Mumbai especialy the centrum. Now comes the most important thing about amsterdam " Red Light District". This is the USP of amsterdam and you can actually see it why when you visit there. Its more of a tourist attraction than just a place where only people who want to fulfill there physical needs visit. You can see couples, groups of ladies, groups of old and young men, people with families and children everyone and not even for a single moment you feel like you are in some dark or shady area. Its more of a funny thing ;). Apart from the red lights, the second most popular thing about amsterdam is 'Marijauna and magic Mushroom", they can easily take you to another level and its heaven for people who likes to get high. Apart from "Red Light District" and "Drugs", Amsterdam or infact entire Netherlands have a lot of museums. People here have a very good sense of art. They are very much passionate about art and they have some of the best museums here. One more important thing which I forgot to mention is the windmills in Netherlands. Netherlands have a lot of windmills and some of the very old country side windmills are part of unesco heritage sote as well. Despite of being a small country they do have some of the biggest companies in the world like Royal Dutch Shell, Philips, Unilever etc. If I some up my experience of Netherlands I would say its a place for everyone right from People who like to party hard and get high to people who like to enjoy nature and love art. I hope you visit Netherlands after reading my post and explore the country through your own eyes.
