A leap into the unknown India

My name is Nishant Lunthi and I am a teenager from Pithoragarh Uttarakhand, a small town in the northern mountains of india. It is a peaceful place where people are friendly and kind. A place where culture and traditions still have a special place in people's hearts. It is a place which is not Fully explored. It is a town situated in a valley, large mountains covering it from all sides. A place with harsh sunlight but cool breeze. The story I write takes place at the end of july when the rainy season is about to end. Its a regular day with a regular morning, me waking up for a morning walk with my friends coming back and having breakfast with my family. Nothing special has happened up until now, a friend sends me a photo of a waterfall telling me that it is near our home town and he also told me that not many know about this. So as a person interested in photography and travel this was an opportunity i would never say no to. We packed up our bags with our swimming kits and headed out not knowing where to start or what to expect. Everyone says that trips unplanned are the best trips and i couldn't agree more because i was able to experience that first hand. By asking directions from the locals me and 2 of my friends reached to the starting point of our trip. The driving was for about 3 hours from our home and the village we were in had no road the only way to go further was by foot. We all took the necessary items and head out. We were not fully prepared we were in our slippers the road was muddy and slippery and we were passing through a river. We finally made it to the village and talked to some villagers and they told us the location of the waterfall. The waterfall was 30 min away from the village and it was a Short 30 min Trek but the problem was that the trek had no route or any way there was this big waterfall deep inside a forest filled with insects and animals and to reach it there was no route you had to just keep walking and find a way to tackle all the obstacles. We all agreed to come back before dark and started our trek. The route was bad because it had rained last day. We were walking in slippery mud and had to find out the route for ourselves and soon everything went the way we never thought of , we got stuck, we came up with the idea of putting our slippers on the bags and going out on a full on journey bare feet we were jumping around from stones and places where there was no way. We were bleeding because of many cuts and bruises. We had leeches on our bodies that were sucking our blood but we kept on moving an finally after about 45 minutes of walking and jumping we were able to find that waterfall which was tall and beautiful. It was one lf the most beautiful things I might have had ever seen in my life it was covered completely with trees and tall plants . The water was clear and we took a dip im the river and had some fun at the waterfall. We sat down on a big rock and talked about it. We enjoyed every moment on that place. We were truly able to connect with. A place with no signals no cellphones no office, just you the animals and the plants and trees around you. It was so peaceful and we all were so happy. But the happiness didn't last long because we had to go back and we had already lost a lot of blood. We still headed out and went with the whole trek again. We made sure not to tell anyone about this place because if many people would have known they would have had destroy the place. We went home and took rest and kept this special place to ourselves.
