A leap into the unknown Morocco

My first trip was the definition of magic for the 9 years old me. A oasis of superb freshness and greenery: lakes, fountains, the scenery was perfect, surprising and regenerating for lovers of the landscapse like me. I can still feel the freshness upon arrival at "Ifrane". Springs and lakes couppled with a touch of remaining snow flakes here and there in the heart of a cedar forest. . Everything smelled like a sweet christmas log. I was still young at that time, but i could effortlessly recall the warm vibes of the coffee shop we've had a family breakfast at. The hot chocolate mug warming up my cold fingers as i observed curiously the white layers dusting the fresh green grass. An unusual sight for someone who has never seen snow before. It looked like a whipped cream. Classic jazz music playing at the background making my imagination run wild. The trip only lasted for 3 days, but the time i spent, be it with my parents sharing a cozy blanket at night to watch a movie or ,by myself, on my own little world, exploring the area, made me set a new philosophy of my own: Explore the world like a bird. Now, making a cup of hot chocolate on a breezy day became a ritual to revive the memory. The nostalgic feeling would bring an instant smile to my face even during heavy days. My story wasn't about a trip to Switzerland. It was just me visiting one of my country's cities that might've looked ordinary or cliché. Yet, the experience made me realise how much great things are not always at the other side of the world. It only takes an open heart and a vision to see and feel the beauty around.
