Papringan, Modern Taste in Old Style Papringan, when I heard this word for the first time, I thought it's name of tourism spot. When do you think when hear it too? Actually, Papringan is a traditional market. Definetily remake of useless place. That place was a market in past time and useless for long time. And then some milennials, who were had great idea to built again the funcion of that market. Those are small things was I know about Papringan. If you are visit Indonesia, my country. You can find this market in Temanggung, Central Java. Still from the history, this market have been call Papringan because it is located in the middle of bamboo forest. You are need moreless one hour to reach Papringan by ride bike or car, from closest village. I found some unique things from this beautiful place. First thing first, before you must trought a small gate. At the gate, there is a few warn letter like, keep clean, keep polite, etc. And then I must do money change, cause you can not use your money here. Papringan have other currency. Indonesia Rupiah is not accept to buy anything, as a replacement I could change my money with carved currency made from carved bamboo stems. For example 20k IDR as 8 pieces. If done, come on let's get in. First look of this market was so amazing. Second thing I have been see all of seller use same uniform. The clothes was a legacy from our own culture, we call it batik. Especially if the batik there are using in Papringan we call it batik lurik. Lurik have a same pattern, there is straigt line in same colour. It's so unique. You can buy this clothes too. Third, I'm shocking by there is no cutlery in Papringan. No plate, bowl, spoon, and fork. That appliance as a replacement by banana leaves, and if you wanna get drink they will give you some drink into the bamboo culms. I like it so much, feels like back to nature. But, you can find some modern food here, completely with the modifications. I suggest, you have to try make conversation with local people. You should do it. Do not scare, they will not know what do you say. Cause in Papringan have nice tour guide, and not to expensive to walk aroun with them. Local people in Papringan market thoese are warm, friendly, and be kind of good persons. Now how? Are you interested to come? Can you imagine this place? Come on, visit Indonesia and you can find a lot of fun. About writer: I am Yuke Neza, from Indonesia. I am a writer, I love write it down romance story. I was published three novel books.
