International travel becomes a long and drawn out process with visa applications ensuring our desire to travel is kept buried within and becomes a privilege for the 1% . Whilst most people dream of a tropical getaway, I was fortunate enough to be born into tropical paradise. A land unlike any other. Ptolemy's global map drawn up two millennia ago created a revolution in exploration and discovery, merchants all across the world were drawn to the paradise isle, famed for its spices, precious gemstones and unmatched natural beauty. . In the central hill country sits Adam's peak, believed by some as the location where Adam first set foot after being banished from the garden of Eden. Commencing the climb at midnight allows you to witness a sunrise like no other. As the first rays of light break through the pitch black night and reflect off the surrounding lakes, one feels an ethereal and spiritual experience that breaks beyond the constraints of the third dimension. . Time becomes so much more than 86,400 seconds, it moves beyond the Gregorian calendar we've based our menial concept of time on. Einstein's theory of relativity teaches us that one's own experience of time is relative to our motion to our surroundings. Time is the fourth dimension and the three dimensional homo-sapiens can never fully comprehend a four-dimensional world. . We are born into a world and made to hit the ground running, caught in the rat race and made to fear for our futures. Materialism, dollar signs and vanity cloud our train of thought, anchoring our souls to the ground whilst we cry out about our dreams and aspirations. . We desire to soar among the clouds and stars, yet fear of falling and failure keep us afraid to break the status quo. . In an increasingly ever-complicated world, nature presents itself as the simplest form of beauty in existence today. Homo-sapiens was once no more than a cave dweller whose reliance on the sun and fire, led to beliefs of higher powers. . The world and our minds and everything in this universe are interconnected in ways that the we cannot even begin to imagine. . Time has been interpreted as a God by countless people, in today's era of information and misinformation we have close to five thousand Gods. All is well if this led to peace and harmony, instead it has led to needless bickering and fighting among ourselves. . Yet once a day, earth completes a revolution on its own axis whilst completing its year long journey around the sun. Yet we still have people who argue about whether or not the earth is flat. . We've dubbed ourselves as the most intelligent species on Earth, pompous arrogance at its finest. . We are but a needle in the vast haystack that is our solar system, which itself is part of the MIlky way Galaxy that encompasses 400 Billion stars and is a fraction of the entire universe that came into existence when the right combination of elements resulted in the big bang fourteen billion years ago. . Then why do we insist on making the struggles of day to day life bigger than this universe, why do we let a 10 bad seconds of a day ruin our mindset for the balance 80,000+ seconds yet to be lived. If you had 80,000$ and lost 10$, would you make yourself miserable over it or would you move on with your life?. .
