I was born and raised in a Land called Borneo. The land with a beautiful nature and a variety of cultures. When I was young, I grow up in a small city called Pagatan in South Borneo with a trees that had a big trunk and have so many leaves. I can go to take a bicycle through it. On Sunday morning, I went to the beach to swimming with my friends and there are the fishermen who just come back from the sea to catch a fish. Sometimes the fishermen give us a fish before they going to a market to sell it. The neighbors are very friendly. In the afternoon people will gather and talk about the situation around the village. We going to the mosque and pray together. Everything is just really good at that time until my family has to move on to another city, but still on Borneo. I was on my junior high school at that time. It is a small city called Kuala Kapuas, and it is in Central Borneo. It does not have a beach or sea like in Pagatan, but Kuala Kapuas had so many rivers. There is nothing special when I am on Kuala Kapus. Until I go to Palangka Raya, the capital of Central Borneo. It also does not have a beach or sea like in Pagatan. But, when I was on Palangka Raya I learn so many cultures about how Borneo is and what that Borneo has. When I graduated from college, I decided to explore more about Borneo. Start from South Borneo, all I can tell you about South Borneo is we have so many beach spots that a beauty and still rarely touched by humans. And it also have beauty hills and mountains. It has a blue sea, green pine tree leaves, and plastic waste less. For example, there are Joras Beach, Pulau Birah-birahan, or you can go to the top of Puncak Bukit Labak Naga, Bukit Rimpi, Bukit Kudai and many more. Not like the other Borneo, South Borneo has some tribes that live in it. There is Banjarnese and also Bugis. Bugis was transmigrated from Sulawesi to Borneo. And my father is a Bugis one. So that makes me Bugis-Dayaknese blood mix. Moving forward to Central Borneo, we have an exotic Dayaknese culture here and also the exotic nature. There is a ritual called Tiwah. The ritual is carried out to deliver the bones of the deceased to the final resting place. And the ritual will be held for at least seven consecutive days. Not only about exotic cultures, but Borneo also have an exotic attraction spot to chill. For example, there is Goa Angah, Senggora Kotawaringin, Gunung Muro, Air terjun tosah, and so much more. Let's move to East Borneo. Do you know Maldives? Borneo has its own Maldives. It is on Derawan, East Borneo. When you are in Derawan, you need to go to Danau Labuan Cermin, Blue Light Cave, Goa Haji Mangku, Pulau Kabakan, and so many more. And there is West Borneo and North Borneo. But I haven't go there, because Borneo is a really big Land to explore. Actually I want to tell the world more about a Land call Borneo, Land that I call pieces of Heaven. I fell really lucky to born and grow up in this Land. Need more than 700 words to tell how beauty Borneo is, how exotic the cultures, and how peace this island.
