When I am planing my trips, journeys, or vacation I am always thinking of every detail, every hotel (or in my case bungalows) every city or small detail which counts as a must see in every place. But you will be a really lucky person if your plan goes all wrong, and your fate brings you where you never even think to appear. Whether it's a local bar or a mountain that offers beautiful views or on the top of the oldest building in the town. Give yourself a chance to get lost, turn off your phone, forget it somewhere in your home town and just go. I guarantee you that the adventures you find there will be many times more colorful and memorable than what you have been planning for months from your cozy apartment. Let me tell you about my experience of not planning. When me and my husband were on the way to go home, we had a 24-hours stop in Qatar waiting for our flight to Ukraine. I didn`t have much interest if Qatar. Planning our trip to Thailand and Cambodia, Qatar was a mystery to me and not really worth my time. So, after a delay of 4 hours and an early departure, I arrived exhausted, hungry and sleepy. All I wanted was to shower, to eat and to sleep in the most comfortable beds of Hilton Hotel (damn those beds). But for a long time arguing with myself and after strong arguments and the fact that most likely I would never fly to Qatar again, my husband and I decided to go look around the city. At first, it was interesting and unusual for me to see perfectly clean streets (after rats and cockroaches of Thailand), as if they were cleaned with mops before our arrival. But the fun part opened later. Unique architecture in white tones and unusual forms of the Central Market. The bazaar, as the central street and the place where all the natives of the small capital Doha seem to hang out, was crowded with men in white thobes and women in black, fully closed hijabs. I admit I was uncomfortable in my pants and T-shirt, but at the end I did not capture dissatisfied glances and relaxed. Oh my God, this cuisine! As I said, I was very hungry. We found an incredibly cozy cafe in the round area and ordered what I think was everything from the menu that included the word "meat" (Thai fish diet was given its results). They were keep bringing us plates of top-quality smoked meat, which simply soaked in the mouth. Hookah is a mast have in Qatar and the mild taste of ours gave us an understanding why. The part I was most amused by was that we were not just meeting the residents there, its like you know them already (sadly only boys are recognized). Whenever my husband was entering the caffe of the shop, he was greeted as if he was a close friend that they really wanted to see and chat. When there was a time to go to the hotel and the phones were purposely left at home we were helped with great pleasure and safely got back and finally dived into our cosy beds thinking what a great place we almost missed because of our laziness. So here are few valuable lessons: 1. Never ever in your life plan the trip so detailed like I did. 2. I am definitely coming back to Qatar. 3. It might be fun to leave your cell from time to time.
