Back in 2016, I have been a volunteer at the NGO YMCA, they got a partnership with YMCA in Norway which I was a pilot(testing) , the partnership was Communication for change, mind you, I never traveled not local then I went international, being chosen for hard work was eye opener, everything is possible based on the hard work. Day came from traveling, went to Kenya, I bought a wrist beats handcrafted, had it sonce then till date, Back to the flight feeling, felt like vomiting, hot mixed emotions, halo 6 hours, can you imagine. The experience was good, learning different languages, Swahili. Days passed, got chances to tour around the country, weather totally different, timezones, food, language which was really a barrier of communication though we had to travel with locals, in making things very much easier which indeed helped us. Days passed on, home time, culture shock, lots was different, while comparing which proves the nature communicate. Time to be out of the continent, Norway trips, was really exciting. Technology was indeed the best tool to communicate, from ordering to snapchat everything is possible with good communication. Snow time, can we go an build a snow man, skii, warm clothes. Food was amazing, language prove it division amongst us, was a good coutry to make a u-turn. Everybody is friend, got to ne adopted by Landmark family which was my friend(Kjersti) family, which I met them during vacation, excting family with love and care. We got our friendship got to strong and indeed I felt the family love from another family, from Lucky (dog). I have explored as adventurous individual was good time for me, outdoor games, making friends till date we have sustained our friendship. Coming back was indeed sad and emotional, which I was not aware that I was emotional person, traveling proves the art of possibilities, learning who you really are. When I got back was everything seems new to me and not used to the system of South African operations in, lots to be configured. Late in 2016, family discuss what they would like to do for much, I had plenty of choices then they paid my studies from beginning to the end, my traveling from home Durban back in Cape Town. Landmark was indeed the family which proves love and humanity exists. My mom forever appreciate and she is proud the Mmeli, I have become. Today, I stand tall in different platforms educating or facilitating life experience though haven't reach many souls that lost hope. Volunteer job teaches and instil humanity. 2018 December had to meet the Landmark family again, learning the language, culture which commemorate holidays is serious element, Christmas time, gifts food, never seen something similar to that goodies, visiting family and eat. Coming back to South Africa with million gifts. New years eve families of the community come together and watch cricket firing. Was the day to remember. Do the right thing, At the right place At the right time.
