Prasher lake is a hill top lake in Mandi District. The lake has a floating island and a 3 storeyed temple near it. People first visit the temple and then take a round of the Lake. The name of the lake is related with the sage Prasher who meditated near the lake. So last year in the month of May I visited the lake for the third time. With the company of my friends and some monks of the Bhunter monastery moreover I was accompanied with my brothers and sisters. The head of the monks booked a traveller for us; singing and dancing we reached our destination. We had to wear our jackets due to the cold air blowing at the hill top. The place had great silence we could even hear the flap of a bird's wing. The lake, the temple, the flowers and even the green grass looked so beautiful and scenic. It appeared as if even the clouds had came to meet us. We planned to lunch there so everyone brought home made food. Just after the lunch it rained heavily. Instead of rushing to find a shelter everyone enjoyed the rain. We stayed there for about 2 and half hours and then returned back to our homes. While returning back we saw a small family selling lingdi(vegetable) and bought all of it. Also the monks brought cold drinks and biscuits with them but they remained sealed as our tummies were full of home made stuffs. So the monks decided giving all those sealed cold drinks and packets of biscuits to the seller. The seller's family was filled with joy and smiled while receiving it. They showed respect and affection towards the monk and the father even touched the monk's . At that moment I felt that happiness comes our way if we make others happy. The time spent at the lake was great, we clicked a lot of photos and at last that act of kindness just made my day. To sum up the day was lovely, memorable and unforgettable.
