Snow is not white

A leap into the unknown India

It all started with a broken heart and mindful soul. Where my friend and I thought on going for an adventure to the Himalayas. It was the time when the winter storm and snow starts falling. We started the journey on 28th November. We took alot of stops and saw very beautiful scenery and slept under the stars in the freezing night just made me feel alive and not dead. We took breaks in places like Auroville, Gokarana,Goa, Delhi. Our first stop was Auroville were we learned what an experimental community may look like. From foreigners and native people working together made no sense to me. Still Auroville sounds like a mystery, with their wierd culture and no governmental rules. Our next stop was Gokarna, we took a bus from Auroville to Bangalore and another bus to Gokarna.I found Gokarna to be the best of the places I visited from amazing view of the sea from the mountains and the mind-blowing sunsets, made me feel like a little kid, who's playing in the sea for the first time. From trekking to the lost beach called the Half moon beach were we got lost with a few tourist and the loat dogs in the beach helped us get back to safety and people. Gokarna is a place where people come to pray and throw the ashes of their loved ones, but this place made me realise," God created the universe for people suffering to hope and wake up to a better day. From Gokarna we took a train to Goa, to the party town in India, but we never needed to party cause I was broke. The next day was our flight to Delhi which made my life difficult, with all the pollution and over population. Delhi was a shit show with its all crazy and unhealthy foods. This made us realise we gotta get our asses soon to Manali. So the next day boarded a bus to Manali for our first sight of the Himalayas, the place where Lord Shiva is said to be. The day we reached Manali,it was cold really cold that could freeze you and your body. We set out to travel to Large mountain looking at us, with the snow calling us to be touched. The road was withering away with loose soil. Heavy traffic made the travel very tiresome and hectic. We reached the pass called Rohtang Pass which is the passage to Leh. It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The snow looked surreal and cold. But later I realised my body was getting cold with the cold breeze blowing. I was getting furious because everything was just snow and cold, all the mountains was just plain snow. Only then I realised snow was not just white like an angel, it's a dangerous but the most beautiful creation of God. Another creation of his with same qualities once broke my heart to reach here and admire the beauty of all his creation. Only then I realised beauty does not always has to be mountains and people, it should be you who has to decide the beauty in Life.
