A leap into the unknown Cyprus

Before I tell you about this trip of love I first have to start by saying that I did not intend to travel alone. It was a close friends wedding and although we are close I don't know many of her friends and family. I arrived on a sunny Wednesday mid afternoon with the sun ray kissing my cheek like for the first time, I was in the Greek side of Cyprus a place that always brought sweet memories for a family trip we had taken 10 year ago . The armor in the air of family, home, peace, and great food. Like trigger urging me to explore more of my beautiful surrounding but first I must make my way to my hotel. I arrived to be greeted by a middle aged man who escorted me to my room and I was Surprisingly disappointing. The colour's in the room clashed and when I took a shower it was cold, trying not to make a fuss on my first night I went to sleep. I woke up to the sound of the sea and oohhh how that brought peace to my soul, going to a wedding alone is not ideal but if it like this already it can only get better. Buffet breakfast all you can eat, fresh food that I certainly took advantage off. I mean I eat like a pig and was smaller than when I was when I arrived. I took a nice long walk down a cobble thin road with rose bushes covering the side of the walls to a shopping mall close by. I am a bit of a wanderer so after a spot of shopping I found myself at a hidden local restaurant that served the best fried garlic smothered in butter and herbs fish meal that also came with a serving of chips , garlic bread, salad and olives. The portions was so big I had to take away. The service was also amazing so much so that I come back every day of my holiday, fresh fish and freshly squeezed orange juice is just what the doctor ordered. The wedding had now come and I was ready to meet some new people, I was dressed to impress and had eaten and was waiting for the car to collect me. It had finally arrived and the destination was breath taking, located in a golf club the decorations was romantic and classic. The sun seemed to have come out to celebrate with us as it was extremely hot that day. The bride and groom declared their love in front of a congregation of 50 people and we wined and dined until the sunrise. The next day I was up graded to a apartment as the water in my room would not wham up. Now I was living it large and eating like a queen a day of sunbathing was calling me. After now looking like I have been on holiday it was back to the restaurant I loved but this time I will bring my brand new friends I had made while at the wedding. Together we eat so much we had to roll our the restaurant. Going back to my apartment it was almost time to go home but before I do one more shopping trip, top up on my tan and eat a little bit more of this fresh food the hotel provides. Looking around I can see why my friend chose to have a destination wedding, the people have be welcoming and whom from day dot, the food is fresh and in it abundance, local shopping is great a lot of unique gifts and a balanced combination of relaxed and entertaining. As I make my way to the air port I had that same felling again but this time I was going home. Until next time, maybe this time round will be a romantic adventure with a male of interest. Well stay tuned.
