Strolling in Paraty

I didn't expect to find Brazil

To start my story I need to say that I never went to other countries. Of humble origin and still having to take care of my brother who was special. But this year he ended up dying and I went to Paraty for the first time. A very beautiful and rustic city. I was delighted with so much beauty. For the first time I rode a schooner, which was communitarian and to the sound of Brazilian music. They were paradisiacal islands, being able to swim in the high seas together with beautiful fish. I felt at home and enjoyed every minute as if it were the last one even though I was still in mourning and my heart was extremely sore. My husband and children went, too. Returning to the subject the food there is very tasty and has many accommodations. Very hospitable and kind people. Maybe I won't be back so soon because the trip is expensive for me and 3 more people. But the memories will be kept forever. I don't expect to find so many emotions in one place. Maybe one day I'll be back, maybe God has prepared something even better. I can only say that besides having fun, I learned a lot about the history of the place, its culture. There are very sad stories about slavery in that place and the overcoming of all of them. It sure was worth every penny. Finally I hope that one day everyone will have the same opportunity to learn a little more about the history of Paraty. A paradise created by God.
