Happiness, Adventure, Friends, Experience, and Peace. You won’t find a word that can combine the five meanings of those words except ‘Travel’.It had begun with receiving an e-mail having the words ‘you are accepted for a scholarship in japan’. I didn’t know that it will be the most valuable second that will change my life. I found myself on a plane taking off to a strange country, and this is the most exciting part of traveling which is flying to the unknown. I arrived in Tokyo having one day to spend, so I walked in the streets watching different people, buildings and cars. It was like you are in an anime cartoon. I felt thirsty, so I entered a supermarket and I got shocked! Everything was written in Japanese even the seller didn’t speak English, so I decided that it is a must to learn Japanese. The next day we moved into Hiroshima city and we were lucky as we arrived in the morning and I saw the most beautiful nature that can be ever seen. Everything appears as if you have made a color correction. After 2 days of exploring the area and attending our classes, we began our first journey reaching Miyajima island. I admit that I didn't get impressed by seeing the high green mountains or animals like deers that want to eat any paper you hold. While walking, I saw something unbelievable. A floating gate! After a shock lasted for 5 minutes. It is called the Torri gate. Then it was my first time trying a ropeway that connects two high mountains. We arrived at the top of the mountain watching stunning views, but things aren't always as you want. On getting back to the first mountain, the ropeway had been closed because of the strong wind and we only had had ten minutes to get back to the bus before it left us, so we ran down from the mountain and then I realized that this problem was not totally bad as we saw waterfalls and many exciting landscapes that we didn’t expect that it even existed. Getting to our hotel and after a few classes of practicing the Japanese language and some engineering classes. It was the time to visit Micron company, one of the biggest memory designing companies in the world, then we visit the Mazda car factory and watched the fantastic technologies used in making one single car. Here, I realized why people called it the planet of japan. For me, the most thing I love is eating. We entered a restaurant where we cooked by ourselves a famous meal in Hiroshima called Okonomiyaki, I don't even know how to spell it, It consists of flour, egg, shrimp, mayo, and sauce. Then, I tried Sushi and Ramen, but I wish I didn't. The taste was very strange to me but I liked it. Days and nights passed while walking in the streets, shopping from outlets, visiting the peaceful memorial park where the atomic bomb has fallen, entering different museums, getting in deep with the Japanese culture and art, playing karate and making new friends that I will never forget. It was time to return home. What! how fast was that! I wish I could stay more. Arriving home and seeing my family who I have missed. I was depressed and despaired, wishing to go back. A few months later, I started a new semester at my university and I kept applying for opportunities to travel as I didn’t have enough money to travel independently. I barely give up after receiving many rejection e-mails. Suddenly, I felt that time has frozen as I have received an acceptance e-mail for a scholarship in one of the places that I dreamt visiting, which is the UK. A new chapter of my life has been started full of adventurous moments. This time, I am traveling for five months to explore England and visit the London Eye, Big Ben, and other landmarks. Right now, I am sitting in my room from London writing this story and I know that it is not the end. Start now because life is too short to waste it.
