Many would not believe that different species to have ever existed hold the trinity of exception. The mind is a powerful tool that has the ability to make you travel to a certain destination without actually setting foot there and that actually builds up expectations of the place desired to visit. Behold as I narrate this beautiful piece on what I have discovered on my journey to the beautiful region of the Republic of Kenya. The excitement fuelled up the first fews of departing on the plane and goosebumps revealed the cluster of emotions as hours later the plane finally landed in Kenya. The beautiful melanin air hostess and their humanity in the hospitality rendered was the first heartfelt experience that has touched my heart till this day. As I landed in the Kenya International Airport, Nairobi to be specific for the ICPD25 - I was really overwhelmed as it was my first time out of my origin country. My expectations were blacked out as the atmosphere and sphere was almost similar to that of home although tradition was the pride of every citizen and ofcourse how could I forget the not so common sim cards that they were using along with the currency and I believe those were the minor details that actually reminded me that I am home away from home. Although I did have much time to explore the country but with the snippets I had, I understood kind of space that most people were at in the country. If there are two things that stood out for me during my duration in The Replublic of Kenya it would be the language and the sense of fashion as well because of how almost everyone at the hotel was embracing their culture. Travelling is an exercise to the human mind and psyche. It enables one to be open minded to different sentiments that he/she might come across. It allows you to meaningfully unpack different aspects of other people's conditions and I believe the trip to Kenya served the exact purpose in terms of aligning me in the direction of understanding the importance of not taking little things for granted and opening up to new experiences that can breed interpersonal skills throughout the journey.
