The formerly part of Soviet Union, Estonia, is home to many historical architecture. Though it is not only constructed in ruling of Russians but there are many beautiful places built by Danes, Germans and Swedes during different historical periods. There are several castles standing firmly for the last 900 years, built in middle ages having different design and architecture. Narva/Harmann castle brings an extraordinary history with it. Strategically situated on Russian border clarifies the heat of the moment it was actually built. Like this, many other castles re-enact the state of affairs in the atmosphere and the purpose can be felt with all of it's intensity of the moment they were built. Poide castle, Parnu castle, Rakvere castle, Toompea castle with other built almost seven to eight centuries before, which are, in the contemporary era, considered as an asset for tourism, history, war and strategic studies as well. It would definitely unfold particular impressions on Estonian literature, culture and tradition.
