It all began in 2013. I was 15 years old at that time, uneducated and unemployed. I dropped out of school in 2007. I stayed in the monastery from 2007 to 2013 in Thailand. In 2013, I quitted being a novice to find a job. But I could not find any job since I was illiterate because I failed seven time in Buddhist text exam. Therefore, I stayed in my home for a couple of months. We started to run out of money to buy food rations and necessary house items. That was how the unforgettable story began. One day in summer time, my father told me that we were going to smuggle cows to Thai-Burma border. Someone (a relative whom I could not stand with at that time) hired us to smuggle cows to Thailand. A trip that would take four days and three night sleeps in the jungle to round up the trip. There were no means of easy transportation. All we had to do was to walk through the deep jungle. So, my father, seven other people and I started the journey in the evening time around 3 p.m. in March 13th. I had to walk two huge bulls through the jungle. One in front and one in the back. We walked, walked and walked until we found a small hut where a family resided. It was already dark. And my legs were like a jelly. I was covering with smelly sweats. I took a shower in the cold river. We cooked pork curry for dinner. After dinner, everyone went to bed, exhausted. Next day, we had breakfast and set off the journey in the very morning. It was cold in the morning. We all kept walked and took a break for a while. I kept walking without looking down for the rocks, I accidentally walked into the rocks and my toe got breeding. But no one stopped walking, so I had to keep on walking. In the afternoon time, the weather got hotter and hotter. It was more exhausting and hot where there were less trees beside the road. Then, we stopped for lunch. After lunch, we started walking. Gradually, we arrived a village in the evening time. We had beef curry for dinner. And I went to sleep straight away. The third day went on the same as the other previous days. Everyone got tired. The heat kept pouring upon us. Around afternoon time, we finally arrived Thailand. We took a break and ate lunch. We got our hard earned money at least. Hence, we started to walk back home. We arrived in the village which is big and quite developed compared to other villages in the evening. Unfortunately, I got a fever- kind of like heat stroke. At that night, I came to realization that life would be not easy without education. It would not be easy find a decent job. Therefore, I decided to learn as if the next day was my last day. We arrived home in the fourth day evening time. Exhausted, I sat down under my home thinking what I had learned through this harsh travel. All I ever thought about after that journey was education. Nowadays, I work as a migrant teacher teaching in Thailand.
