Wednesday, January 1, 2020. I saw the sun rise that day because I couldn't sleep. From the car you could hear the noise of the sea, but you couldn't see anything. I wondered what it would be like when we left and headed for the sea. I only went to the beach once in my life when I was six I think, so I don't remember it well. We were waiting for the parking lot to open so we could get in and get some rest. When it was 6am we got in, parked and headed in the direction of the waves. I didn't know what to expect; when I arrived on the balcony and saw the ocean it was a little scary and beautiful at the same time. It was very large and seemed infinite. It was as if I had reached the end of the planet. The noise, the wind, the smell, everything was so comforting and calm. I was afraid to go into the sea, but I went in obviously - I wouldn't miss this chance. It was fun, but tiring because your body is so sore from being hit by the waves. On the first dive I took, I thought my eyes would burn, but nothing happened, just a taste of salt in my mouth. There were some waves that were so big that I was a little scared. There was a moment when the entire water level dropped to my feet and when I looked ahead I saw a very high wave coming towards me and I thought, "oh my God I'm going to die". It was the best day of my life.
