A leap into the unknown Thailand

My husband & I spent 4.5 days in Patong, Phuket, & we really enjoyed our honeymoon there. It was my idea to visit Thailand as it was a place I longed to visit for years. The trip began from the day we landed in Phuket. After being transferred to the Viridian Hotel, we were taken to see the different popular destinations in Phuket. We visited a cottage industry where we were allowed to shop for souvenirs. At the cashew factory where they grow and package cashews (after mixing them with different spices), we were allowed to sample and even buy the cashews that we liked. At another place we visited, we were allowed to pet the elephants and were exhilarated to learn how to ride the ATVs. The highlight of that day however was our evening trip to the Fantasea show, where we thoroughly enjoyed the acrobats and specific lighting and the elephants. Day2 was spent at the ever famous PhiPhi Island. Here we took a boat ride to the lagoons where the passengers were allowed to snorkel for a cost. After that we were taken to the island itself where we were offered a delectable buffet lunch and were allowed to shop and sightsee before being transferred back to the mainland by boat. Tip to remember: Since this island is So famous, things here are generally slightly expensive, & they tend to overcharge you. I also felt the island was overcrowded. Too many people for me to be able to actually enjoy the island. If you're out to enjoy the island with your college friends, then it would be an awesome island to live on. Day3 was our favorite. We visited James Bond Island. Not only was the staff friendly, but the swimming was free. At a certain cost, we learned how to ride a water scooter and even rode it for about 45minutes. My husband especially loved the water scooter ride. It was a brand nee experience for him. I was so unsure if he would enjoy this as he isnt too comfortable with the water. But the shimmer in his eyes and the smile on his face told me he had a great experience. Day4 & the first part of Day5 we chose to sightsee on our own. For a nominal cost of 150-400 bahts per day, one Can rent a scooter and a road map. That's what we did and we rode around sightseeing on our own. We saw the boxing ring where they have boxing matches every night, with a surprisingly large turnout. Fuel is quite cheap. We also rode all the way between north and south Phuket, and visited a few other beaches there too. Our evenings were spent walking and sightseeing the amazing nightclubs along the ever famous Bangla city walk, where we could see topless dancers and live music shows for free. The Viridian resort isn't a very big place. It was just right for a honeymooning couple actually. Greenery all around, a swimming pool to dive into the moment we had a chance, friendly staff, and very comfortable rooms. All in all, it was a well spent 4days, and we would love to go back there again.
