I felt a tickling movement on my forehead, and just then I opened my eyes. Sudden opening up of my eyelids made the butterfly sitting on my forehead to scare away. The first thing that I saw was a flush of beautiful colors. The butterfly was just there to wake me up and I found myself in a dream-like beautiful place. The blue sky laid there like an infinite ceiling over the whole land. My nose filled up with the enchanting smell of life and nature. I have been sleeping there on the lush-green grass for two hours. That tw0hour sleep seemed like the most relaxing sleep of my whole life. I felt as light as a feather and all my worries were gone. It was a green meadow in the valley of Naran located in northern Pakistan. Just as I was coming back to my senses, I heard the gushing of water. I turned back to see the lonely but full of life river Kunhar flowing in the midst of the valley. When I looked further, I saw cows and other animals grazing over the grass. There was life everywhere; the whole place was life-giving. Managing my home along with doing a job is a tough thing for me. To relieve myself of all my worries, I visited the northern areas of Pakistan in my summer vacations. And the trip seemed to bring back life into my barren veins and I handed over all my worries to the flowing river. On the first day of my travel, I met river Kunhar. It seemed like a very old friend, which I loved to stay with for the rest of my trip. The whole valley is located beside river Kunhar. So, I did not feel like travelling alone. If one could imagine what paradise would be like, the best picture in the mind is that valley. Full of juicy and mouth watering fruits, an eternal peace enter the body when a person visits those places. I was very excited to find out the origin of river Kunhar. So, I travelled along with it towards the top. The river seemed never ending, but I did not give up hope. I continued my journey uphill and at last I came across the lake that gave birth to that long river. It was a green lake and unlike the river, it was very quiet. During my trip, sometimes I would sleep beside the river and the flowing noise of river would wake me up. It would be the time of sun setting and I would watch the huge ball of fire setting peacefully with golden and colorful magical lights. The nights would be as calm and quite as one could ever imagine. I would get into my warm blanket and tired of the whole day’s adventure, would immediately fall asleep. The mornings used to be the most relieving of all times. The rising sun would pump an unexplainable energy into my body that would enable me to travel the whole day. I visited that land in summer. So, after every turn on the road, there would be a flowing stream of water caused by the melting snow. It would be icy cold water and one would even freeze a melted chocolate by simply putting it under that water for a few minutes. Eating cooked chicken on stove was one of the best foods there. The other best ones are the fruits. I used to go into apricot gardens and pluck ripe apricots for me and eat as many as I could. If a person wishes to fill their bodies with life, then they should definitely visit the magical land of Naran. After a single visit, they would wish to go again and again and fetch some more life for themselves. Even a person travelling alone like me seemed to be refreshed and enjoyed every single minute of my journey. So, grab your bag and get ready to enter the magical land full of butterflies and flowers.
