At 1600 meters above sea level, the Jakob refuge in Bariloche is a longer walk and includes some sections “with adventure”, of medium to high difficulty, such as going through a metal ladder with a rope. But for this reason it is that many adventurers choose this refuge before others to visit. It is accessed from tambo baez along a path of 800 meters to a forest of tall cohihues and descends to the stone house stream and then climbs up a path of 25km between ascents and descents to the refuge and the lagoon that are on the top of the hill, this hike demands between 5 to 7 hours, you have to be trained and prepoarated with clothes and trekking shoes because it is very slippery and with difficult parts access, you cheer up !!!
