The pearl of India

A leap into the unknown India

The ride through the villages was longer than usual. Cows were gently crossing the narrow muddy road, while we were hurrying to reach the place I always wanted to visit. Beside the car I could see ladies rushing home from the market, dressed in bright color saris and carrying heavy weights on their head. Probably a common daily routine. Man on the contrary were dressed fully in white, some of them were taking cattle to graze, and others were selling goods beside the road. Incredible landscapes. I was thinking how lucky I was to be there but I knew that India has much more to offer. Sun was about to go down when we finally reached. Rows of people were lined up to enter, and after some time I was inside following others, walking towards a red building with a massive oval entrance. Rolling with the crowd further, at the far distance I spotted a shiny white marble, the most beautiful jewel of India, “The Taj Mahal” like a rare pearl just out of its shell was right in front of my eyes.
