Last summer:My family decided to travel to the southern India ,southern India is famous for lush green surroundings but this destination is located near the coast having the most beautiful beaches and a perfect weekend vibe for people living in Tamil Nadu,this destination is a perfect mix of cultural, religious and leisure activities. Yes! It is PONDICHERRY. Pondicherry was ruled ruled by the french community before many years ,but this touristic destination still has some remains and essence of the french culture:the streets, cafe's and many of the beaches too have their names in french.Pondicherry is a hangout destination for many travellers around the world and in India. It's diverse culture and welcoming localites make it a place for perfect break from a routine city life. This place has some of the best and clean beaches across the country it's crystal clear water adds a perfect touch to the beauty of their beaches.This place is well maintained by the localites, this place also has many temples,easy accommodation facility, food may it be veg,main,nonveg,or sea food.Pondicherry has it all.The people of Pondicherry strongly believe unity and peace this culture was embedded by Shri Aurobindo. Auroville a township in Pondicherry, this was an initiative by mother of shri aurobindo she had a vision of getting all the countries, religion and people together, auroville covers an area of approx. 20 square kilometer it is a township where people work in favour of environment, peace and voluntarily, in the centre of Auroville a globe kind model is situated named 'MAITRI MANDIR' this was constructed with the help of resources from many countries across the globe in February 1971,the idea was to unite all with the idea of peace. Inside the maitri there are various rounds of meditation, it is a very pure place where everyone is equal.Inside the maitri mandir there is a crystal situated in between the dome ,this crystal reflects light in the whole room at 12 noon sharp on a bright sunny day a ray of sunlight passes through a small whole on top of it .This place is where everyone meditates. As an individual I am not into meditation, I tried that once and the experience was amazing, whenever you meditate in front of that crystal one can feel that positive aura there were nearly 50 people in one room totally silent ,while meditating one could hear the sound and breathe vibrations in that room the silence and purity of that room is what makes it different from other places .This experience changed my mentality about meditation one can make firm decisions one can think about nothing and still be clear of what they are going to do .This was a trip which changed my perspective.
