I didn't expect to find Martinique

This sudden and unplanned holiday worked its magic, we didn’t meet by accident, we were meant to cross path to ignite the energy we release when being together. We first dated five years ago, briefly and passionately, after meeting at Notting Hill carnival, Europe’s biggest street festival that attracts around two and half million people. At the moment we made eye contact we knew there was something special about us, we were intrigued in each other. I saw my eyes in his eyes and he saw his in mine, we both look very exotic and we have the rarest eye coulour in the world, the exact green eyes coulour. Green is our favourite coulour and we like wearing green clothes as they bring the sparkle to our green eyes and intensify the coulour of our eyes. When chatting to each other, we found out that we were born not only in the same month but also the same week and year as well. When we were young, we liked climbing trees, hunting lizards and walking bare foot. We were both Caribbean expatriate living in London complaining about the weather but sharing the same enthusiasm for crazy London city. I am from Martinique, a French island the Caribbean and he is from Jamaica. We had the impression that I was his female French version and he was my male English version. When we met, he didn’t know much about Martinique but straight away he started to be very interested in this Caribbean island with French touch. Sadly two weeks after meeting him I moved back to my island, we were wondering why we didn’t meet earlier, especially because I had been in London for eight years. We did keep in touch for several months but that long distance relationship has worn us and we lost contact. Few years later, I unexpectedly relocated back to London, I was still thinking about the Jamaican but didn’t attempt to contact him. It is two years after I settled in London, the destiny decided to make our path cross again. That time it was on Oxford Street, Europe’s busiest shopping street that attracts half a million daily visitors. I was walking down the Street when a man pulled my hand and told me “Hi, do you recognise me ”. I looked at him and couldn’t believe it was him. Straight away we went to eat Caribbean food in Brixton as we used to in the past . I told him I was travelling in few days to Martinique for carnival and he didn’t hesitate and booked his flight tickets on a short notice to follow me. At the airport in London people starts looking almost staring at us. We have this special connection, energy that seems to interest people, they openely approaches us and speak with us. They are also curious to know the nature of our relationship, if we are a couple, family or friends. We seem to interest people quite a lot, which made us realised that together we have that special energy. During this nine wonderful day in Paradise, I showed him as much as possible, from the south of the island with white sand to the north with black sand and the famous volcano. We enjoyed climbing, hiking, exercising and running on the beach. We were using the nature as an exclusive gym club. The trees, wood and rocks were our equipment. He discovered Martinique carnival by attending street events and parties. He was so happy that my home island appears to me more beautiful. We also headed to Saint-Lucia, my favourite island in the Caribbean. We stayed in a luxurious resort but we spent most of our time meeting with the local people. From when we started the holiday journey until we went back to our respective lives in London, we received from everyone so much love, positive vibes and good energy. We realised that we got the best of us, this time we won't let us go.
