„They said that friends you met until 20 - your true friend for life” I didn’t take it seriously until I realized that this year I will turn 21. I started to carry about it in earnest, I dreamed of meeting a real friend, but afterward, I successfully forgot about it. Well, it was an early autumn. I just had entered the fourth course (the last one). I didn’t plan anything except the university graduation routine, but it wasn’t always so as it turned out… In the middle of October relatives from Russia came to me. It was my lovely aunt Susa and her 2 friends. Susa is a research assistant in the Department of Psychology. They asked me to be their tour guide and I accepted their offer with pleasure. We went for a walk around the city. The day was sunny and cloudless, a perfect day for walking isn’t? We had a lot of time, so we slowly began to discover the painfully familiar to me city. Once the administration of my university called me and said to come as soon as possible. I needed to give documents that I put off for a long time and today is the last day. So we went to the university my buddies didn’t mind. We came to the main building of our university I gave the documents. While I was going to leave the auditorium my teacher stopped me. (She was a quite strict professor but I got along with her) She informed me that there was a competition for the student exchange program in Europe. She strongly recommended me to take part in the competition. I went out to my friend and informed them about it. They supported me and said “yes! of course, take part!” and from this point, my life turned 360 degrees. I have passed the first two parts, I was super excited. Then I had to pass the speaking test. Susa’s friend was a master of philology and we rehearsed common themes for speaking tests. I passed them. After two weeks I had known results. I passed! I couldn’t believe! I had never won anything before, and I started preparing for the long-trip joyfully, by the way, we were sent to Poland. The first person I met in Poland was Kate. She is from Kazakhstan as me but from another city. She was 2 years older than me. I really want to tell about her. We met each other on an interesting date 19.09.19 When I met her I was like I knew her a long time ago. I understood instantly that this beginning of a long friendship. Our souls felt some kind of native energy. I have never seen so much kindness in a man, such a big heart. Even if she didn’t have time since she worked she always found time for us. We became friends very close and we have talked so much on a variety of topics and time flew by. During the study, we managed to travel. I will never forget our trips, we have visited 8 countries! But the time of my program was drawing to the end. Breaking was even worse for me than I could imagine. But the distance is not a hindrance to our friendship. I am so grateful for the fate of this person in my life, she taught me a lot. I wonder every day how amazing life is. So I returned to Kazakhstan and realized that in a month I would be 21 years old. Folk wisdom doesn’t lie. I in fact found a friend for life before one month to 21 y.o.
