There is a lot to see in Brazil's nature and you can always find more interesting things to do. I have always heard about the famous "Lençóis Maranhenses", in Maranhão, and the green and blue lagoons. But have you ever heard about a trekking to cross this state park? Well, neither did I, but I decided to try. The experience is wonderful, with no luxury at all. At the moment that you decide to pick up a backpack and walk some kilometers with it, you should know that you will take only what is necessary. This is frequently called detachment or freedom. During your walk you can hear the wind passing through you and carrying on some sand. You look at all sides and you can't find a signal of civilization. You'll see some goats but they go as fast as they come. After hours walking you'll find small villages inside the park. The "hotel" is a house of someone of the village. They are very simple and innocent people. They offer you food and a hammock to sleep. You'll feel like a gypsy. They like to talk, to tell some histories, they live isolated there. I saw marvelous sunrises and sunsets but I also confronted myself many times thinking how crazy I was to do something like that, I wanted to quit. And I found some strengh in my colleagues of walking. I saw that I needed to quiet all the negative thoughts and I took this to life. This was just the beginning of my personal walk. I came back the same, but I searched a way to change, and I changed. I only could see the most beautiful lagoons because I let unnecessary behind.
